I enjoyed the beginning and the buildup of the relationship. I LOOOVE broody, gothic castle settings and just the vibe was enough to make me happy.
I LOOOOVED all the Beauty and the Beast tropes, and how the witch character is aware of his physical beauty and goes out to actively scheme against the beast. It’s a refreshing change from all the innocent, wide eyed characters out there.
The ending was a mess tbh — I literally could not understand what was going on. But I’m not complaining too much, since if I wanted action, I would just go read a thriller lol. I wanted a gothic dark romance!!
