Great book! Grabbed me right after the first chapter. There is one sentence at the end of the chapter, that just makes you keep reading!!! I bought it since it was on the best sellers list and I can see why. A lot of suspense in it and keeps you wondering til the end, and the end is WHOA!

Really loved how this book is narrated, the plot is good, it's not really anything new, but I liked it. The mayor bummer was the ending, but all in all, it's captivating, unlike this review :P

Yes it's interesting, but the progress is just too slow. Reading the same thing that happens everyday isn't fascinating, it's quite boring. Two stars for the plot but I don't think I will continue this book.

Genre: Psychothriller
Series: Standalone

49-year old Christine wakes up with no memory of the past twenty years. Ever since an accident that she had when she was 29, her brain deletes new memories upon entering REM-sleep.
Her husband has to tell her who she is and what happened to her every day anew. But when she receives a call from Dr. Nash, a neuropsychologist who gives her a diary that she kept over the past couple of weeks, she begins to undercover that some things about her story don't add up. But how should she find out who to trust, when she cannot remember anything the next morning?

I reread this book for a psychology presentation on anterograde amnesia, and though I knew about the ending, it was still a very entertaining and gripping read. The main character, Christine, is a very fleshed-out, organic character, and the writing effectively pulls you in. Some people have criticised this book for moving too slow, but I don't think so. The pace is just right to give the reader an in-depth view into Christine's life and the struggles that she faces every day, while still mainting the lingering feeling that something is wrong. The tension builds up especially in the last quarter of the book, but it is a very entertaining read from the first page to the last.
