this was very well written and enjoyable, i just wish there was more direct intersections of the characters. because there is no ‘climax’, each story felt a bit aimless by the end.
i would have loved to know if conrad regained his memory/ reconnected with ben or to have a scene his interaction with the priest, and more about addie’s disappearance / coyote jones being caught

I loved this book so much, it could have been so disjointed but it fit together so well and was a really satisfying read. I definitely want to read again in physical form so I can flip back and forth and put the pieces together a bit better and make notes.

While ‘Everyone Dies Famous in a Small Town’ is a hot favourite among the Carnegie shortlist, I cannot help but feel a bit deceived.
I thought the short stories would have concluded with the characters interacting in some way, and so while listening I tried my hardest to remember every character. However, not only were characters (apart from a couple) quite forgettable, but there’s actually no real conclusion to the stories.

Wow!! One of the best short story collections I’ve read. Although all the stories are connected by threads… I really enjoyed piecing the stories together. The backdrop of small towns really drew me to the stories, and I’ll be thinking about this book for some time!

Im not sure there was anything particularly wow about this but I really enjoyed the connections between each story [read in one sitting though so clearly an easy read]
