Another gripping read

I won’t say I haven’t read a novel like this. But this was a very gripping read indeed. And the fact that this was written in 1936! Probably the first of its kind then. One thing that amuses me is how strong the characters are, especially some of the women. Anyway, not to drift off too much from the topic of review, it was by definition a page turner. That much is expected anyway from most of her novels, but the premise was a bit different (good different) compared to other Hercule Poirot novels. Definitely check it out if you haven’t

This might be one of my favorite Poirot stories, so far (Roger Ackroyd still wins).

Lots of twisty turns and some commentary on what you can assume about people who are different to everyone else.

Poirot usually doesn’t deal with serial killers, so it was fascinating to watch his style in dealing with one making him zip around all over Europe.
