Idk den var så skum. En hund försöker lista ut var föda kommer ifrån genom vetenskapligt tänkande och försök. Han tror sig förstå att födan kommer från jorden, men människor dansar och kollar upp i himlen (antar att de ber?), så hunden tycker det är lite oklart. I sitt test får han mat kastad till sig (eller kastar den själv? det var svårt att fatta) och märker att maten flyger ner mot honom och inte jorden som den borde (han står literally bara i vägen). Hunden klarar dock inte av att testa detta fler gånger då han suktas av maten och äter den💀 Så han ger sig ut för att typ meditera och inte äta något i flera dagar för att få bort hungern. Det slutar med att han hallucinerar (tror jag?) en annan hund som börjar sjunga. Hundens slutsats är att musikvetenskapen är bättre än näringsvetenskapen…
Novellen tar upp ämnen som att vi alla har en gräns till hur mycket vi kan veta. Typ att hunden inte kunde lista ut var maten kom ifrån då han åt upp all mat innan han hann lista ut. Samma kan ju vara med människor. Någonstans finns vår gräns till hur mycket vi med säkerhet kan lista ut om världen. Vetenskapen har sina gränser.

LOLL I forgot to update goodreads. Anyway, I've gone way too deep into the shadowhunters rabbit hole so if you see the next 123710 updates just being about that series, do forgive me (it's the ending of high school hitting my nostalgic strings atp).
Honestly, this novel wasn't my favorite of kafka. I'm assuming it's my new obsession with the shadowhunters universe combined with the fact that I am swamped with things that made this kafka-esque book a pain. I'd actually say that the writing was pretty decent (as it literally is kafka who we are talking about), but in comparison with his other writings and creations, this is probably my least favorite.
I'll give it another shot in a year. See what happens.
