did i think i would love this one? yes. did i? absolutely not. i could NOT for the life of me get over the fact that ronan was her mom's ex. i guess that is my hard NO when it comes to taboo romances. i am all for ex's parent but parent's ex is just too icky for me, i'm sorry. while i liked being in ronan's head (for the most part) i hated being in daisy's head. she was insufferable. i hated the whole on-going lie which obvi caused the 3rd act breakup. also the disordered eating was very not okay with me. it was not mentioned in the content warnings at the beginning of the book but it’s plays a role throughout the book, so if that’s a trigger for you, i would definitely skip this one. i love sara cate and have enjoyed this series, but this one was not for me, and that's okay.

⚠️: grief, death of parent, child death, death of spouse, pregnancy, car accident, cancer, terminal illness, disordered eating

Obsessed!! Praise will always be my favourite one but this is a very close second. Daisy and Ronan's story hit me in so many ways and I loved seeing them come together. There were so many good hurt/comfort scenes and you know that's my fave. And the sex scenes? Let's just say, they're worth it. I loved how the drama was handled and I was so so happy about the ending!

I wish I could bottle all of the amazing feelings that I felt when I finished reading Highest Bidder, I want to experience reading it for the first time over and over again.

Sara Cate’s fifth addition to the Salacious Players' Club series is a beautifully written masterpiece. It captures your attention and holds it right from the start. The two main characters -Daisy and Ronan- are each captivating in their own right...and together. And holy moly, the emotional and physical connection that the two of them have with each other- it is without doubt one of the most intense and intimate love stories that I’ve ever read. There was indeed crying, which to me is an instant success for a book.

I love coming back to the Salacious Player's Club world, it's one of the best book series that I've had the good fortune of reading. And I'm telling you, if you love age gap romance with a good bit of forbidden romance thrown in and lots of delicious kinky spice, you have got to read this book! 1 million/10 I definitely recommend. And if you know, you know.

I really enjoyed this installment of The Salacious Players Club. So far, Eyes on Me was probably my least favorite. Probably followed by this one. While I enjoyed the story, I found myself a little bit bored with some of the spice, which wasn’t the case for the other books. Especially Mercy, that’s still my favorite one. I did enjoy the little exploration of grief that was in this book. I like Sara Cate’s ability to take heavy issues and approach them in a way that makes her characters seem even more human, and relatable.
