Very good book. Read it in one day. Very dark thought took a drastic unexpected turn.

If I hadn’t committed to reading the entire Hopeless series, I would have stopped early on in this book. It’s repetitive, especially if reading as soon as you finish Hopeless, and frankly, not as good. With that said, I did appreciate some of the insight / additional context provided by Holder throughout the course of events.

I gave this 4.5 stars because it’s a very compelling story, but it is not at all an easy story. Hoover deals with several really tough issues along the way, and the reader is taken along on this journey.
