This starts as a crime thriller taking a humorous swipe at racism in the US, but it really takes a disturbing turn. Quite brilliant.

This is my pick for Booker winner, I think it's excellent. Witty, intelligent and zeitgeisty. It's sort of horrible really and I loved it. 5 stars
