One of the things that I like best about blogging is taking a chance on new-to-me authors and absolutely loving their work. Case in point, author Nana Malone. I'd heard of her and her books, of course, but had never taken the opportunity to read her work. When BIG BEN came along, my interest was thoroughly piqued, and in I went.
Romantic suspense is so much my thing, and this book does not disappoint. A secret society, blackmail, workplace romance, and characters that made me want to keep reading, yep, this was definitely my kind of book. The kind that makes you say, 'What?! What do you mean this is the end?' when you flip to the last page. That, to me, is an author that I want to read more of, and a story that I'll be following up to the end.
Knowing that there are two more books to come in this series makes me a happy reader, and I cannot wait to go deeper into Ben and Livy's world. I can't get enough of Nana and the See No Evil trilogy, making both Nana and her books happy recommendations from me. ❤️

This story has several mini stories within it and that, to me, is what makes this really intriguing. Worlds are going to collide and no one knows it, but us.
Olivia is trying to get her life back together after the death of her mother and an accident that has left her boyfriend seemingly in shambles. She’s losing herself and meeting Ben changes her life in more ways than even she can imagine.
Ben is a tortured soul. The life he’s living is increasingly becoming more dangerous. He’s determined to take down the men who were responsible for the death of his close friend.
These two together are TNT waiting to explode, Although they are working together, each are keeping secrets from each other that will have serious consequences down the road.
This book ends in a cliff hanger – and what a cliffhanger it is. Cannot wait for Book 2.

I really enjoyed this one. I like a good heist read. One in the beginning of the book and the potential for another at the end. I liked how Olivia did her best to stand on her own, but was also willing to accept help when it was in her best interest. I liked how Ben just couldn't be a playboy asshole with Olivia. That as he continued to learn things about her he grew to like her more and more. That the things he did weren't to benefit himself, but because he truly wanted to help out Olivia and keep her safe. I'm excited to read the next one.
