Honestly, I read this manga 4 days ago and I can barely remember the plot outside of the cute little alien Mauu.

Overall, I think the concept of abduction for the purpose of a higher power calling is perfectly fine - and would have hit harder if we didn't live in the world of Isekaii's.

I hate dropping series, particularly when I invested in a physical copy, but I just don't think this is one that I will continue. Very much wish I had read the digital copy!

It seemed cute and sweet, but ooh! That cliffhanger! I can see all sorts of build up to exciting things!

Very fun premise and a very cool, detailed illustration style! Menota's notes at the end reveal how wildly detailed the designs for the aliens, spaceships and the whole universe; their art feels very neat and orderly but there are so many small, carefully thought out aspects to just everything. I read through this first volume a bit too quickly and am looking forward to the next one. Seven Seas publishes such great stuff.

This is a cute slice of life, however I don’t think I’ll be continuing with the series. I found Mauu engaging and the clone section interesting, but the rest of the cast didn’t do anything for me. There are parts of the story that made it worth reading, but nothing to make me want to continue with it.
One thing that bothered me about the world-building is the method of choosing who should work on Mosly- it’s random. Which is fine and all, but there are two kinds of planets in this world: open and closed. Open is planets that interact with other planets and closed is planets that haven’t gone that far into space yet. I don’t understand why anyone from a closed planet should be chosen to begin with. They have to be taught about how planets are made and need to learn the universal language before they can even read. I also doubt Marko’s attempts at escape are unique. Why wouldn’t closed planets be excluded from the selection process? Or planet making could be a profession, which would probably create better results anyway. The story wouldn’t exist without the selection process but I found that bit to be poorly thought out.
