What a fun ride! Thanks to #booksirens for an ARC in return for a review.

The first chapter was completely bonkers. I have to admit I almost put it down but I was intrigued. And I am very glad I did because I zipped through it.

Gracie and Zeus are living in a run down motel, barely making it by on his Social Security and her income from freelance journalism. Gracie is foster mom to Zeus, a 21 year old.

There's plenty of talk about sex, there's drugs and there's rock and roll and there's a mystery to be solved. Gracie and Zeus are great characters and I hope this turns into a series.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book became a different genre than I thought it would be and I LOVE that. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but it’s very clever. This story is funny (from the first line) and interesting — and at one point made me VERY angry. A wide range of emotions. It wasn’t a difficult read, but it wasn’t so easy that it didn’t hold my attention. I’m looking forward to what Elizabeth Roderick comes up with next.

Thank you to Cinnabar Moth Publishing for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What an adorable, heartwarming book about the best of unconventional relationships! Grace is a struggling freelance journalist, living in a motel with her adult foster son Zeus. Zeus is misunderstood by many, but he and Grace have an incredible bond. I absolutely loved their relationship and found it such fun to read about. I loved Zeus's rants and theories, and all-around found this to be a very fun book.

Grace and Zeus live in LA, and as Grace writes about the music scene, they find themselves crossing paths with multiple famous musicians. Zeus's gregariousness earns him fast friendships with Inez and Lyssa, and this is where their adventures begin. Then the plot turns a little more thrilling, and I didn't know what to expect!

I promise that if you pick this book up, you'll be in for a good time. This was my first book by #ElizabethRodrick, but I will certainly be on the lookout for more of her work! I feel like this book could easily be made into a series, and would love to read more about Grace and Zeus's story.
