For the first half of this book I was enjoying the story and was lucking forward to Mr Malcolm getting a taste of his own medicine, so to speak. But unfortunately he didn't. Honestly, he was a very arrogant and annoying MMC and I felt kind of bad for Selina.
I was originally thinking this was going to be a solid 3 stars but it just went downhill. Overall it was simply okay and I probably wouldn't recommend it.

<Spoiler>
Um livro com uma premissa interessante mas que sofre com personagens básicas e um terceiro ato sem um bom conflito.
A melhor parte é a jovem Selina e a pior a insuportável Julia.

I had hoped to like this more than I did. I think the story leaned more towards being satirical and humorous at the expense of character depth and nuance. A lot of the characters were kind of unpleasant, with basic personalities. I also wasn't a fan of the bit of fat shaming that happened with one of the side characters. I read this with the intention of watching the movie after, so I hope the movie has more rounded and likable characters. Edit: I did watch the movie. The movie is a bit better than the book I'd say, it makes the characters a little more likable.

This book was very cute even if it was lacking in depth or spice. For some reason it reminded me of the movie Clue, I think because the characters kept finding themselves in such absurd situations.

If you are looking for something light and quick this is a book for you.
