For the first half of this book I was enjoying the story and was lucking forward to Mr Malcolm getting a taste of his own medicine, so to speak. But unfortunately he didn't. Honestly, he was a very arrogant and annoying MMC and I felt kind of bad for Selina.
I was originally thinking this was going to be a solid 3 stars but it just went downhill. Overall it was simply okay and I probably wouldn't recommend it.

A really enjoyable regency romance and easy read. It feels quite modern and almost similar to Austenland in the best way.

I weirdly feel like the people who reviewed this book read a completely different book from me. I do not know if there is a different edition, but some reviews have alcoholism and pregnancy as content warnings and there was neither! This is literal lighthearted fluff, given with a few ridiculously annoying/occasionally cruel characters. I have not seen the movie, though I will at some point, but I did quite enjoy the book. I read a book early this year that tried to combine Austen and 2000s rom-coms and did it poorly, this one did it quite well, never trying to be anything it isn't. Just don't go I to this expecting it to be some great work of literature. I wouldn't expect a chocolate bar to be a five course meal.

This was a cute read. Exactly what one one expect for the genre and trope. Would have rated higher, but got a bit repetitive in the end.

A light, satirical romp through Regency society! Everything was quite superficial, almost in the style of The Importance of Being Earnest, making this a quick and easy read (I finished it in 2 hrs). Yet it grew on me as the book went on, and I’m glad I ventured into the fun, easy life of Regency high society.
Minor: Alcoholism, Sexual content, and Alcohol
