A cute little YA book. But it's still terribly predictable and cheesy. Yeah, I'm not the target demographic, but surely you can do better than this. The characters are stereotypes with questionable motivations and plausibility. There isn't a sense of setting -- no one does much skiing. And the end romance seems doomed anyway. There are better selections out there.

This was very cute. A great winter read about a winter vacation in the beautiful mountains - full of skiing and winter romance.

Except there is also drama - Sam is on vacation because her dad just got remarried and she isn't really sure how to handle it.

So, I did like this book - it's pretty adorable. But Sam is pretty fiery and I wasn't always happy with her reaction to things. But it was pretty realistic at least.

After reading three fantasy books in a row, this was the exact book I needed. I wanted to read a cute, light, fluffy contemporary set in the Winter and that's exactly what I got. This book was cute, had a cute romance and was a very quick read. I read it in two sittings which is very fast for me :)

Sam was entertaining, but the rest of the characters were kind of flat. Okay romance story.

Okay..........
Honestly, the lack of character development and shallow plot were FINE. I even had fun reading it. My problem with this book is the middle, and I am PISSED at the irresponsibility of this author.

This is a book geared towards middle/high school girls. And throughout the middle of the book, an 18 year old male takes advantage of his ski student, knowing she is 15, getting her DRUNK on multiple occasions to try to statutory rape her, and then manipulating her when he fails. I..........

Sher uses this as a plot device of "the first guy I like is an asshole, so I want the second guy because he's good and won't try to do this." That's fucked up. That's so irresponsible to market to girls. There is no commentary on this. There's no holding the guy accountable. He goes on to do it to other females, and the main character is internally hostile to those GIRLS.

2.5 stars -

I wasn’t really into the story and I didn’t like the main character that much. She was whiny and really immature and she ran hot and cold with everyone. I liked the love interest (he was my favorite character) but I couldn’t see what he saw in someone as unpleasant as Sam.

It’s also wintery more than Christmassy, but it was overall okay.
