Happiness is a worthy biography

I didn't know when I downloaded this book that it was for children. All the better. I enjoyed re-learning about my favorite cartoonist of all time. Recommend for future Peanuts lovers everywhere.

Decent short bio of Charles Schultz. Not as excellent as the American Masters PBS documentary that is in the bibliography.

I've read the autobiography of Schulz last year and pretty much known him from what he'd provide in [b:My Life with Charlie Brown|7261253|My Life with Charlie Brown|Charles M. Schulz|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1348201145l/7261253._SY75_.jpg|8327682]. However, this book gives a closer look at his life from other people's perspectives.

I often found Peanuts to be more thoughtful than funny.

I've read biographies of Sparky before, but this one was by far the most engaging read and brought me closest to really seeing Charles Schultz as a person. I really enjoyed the writing style and the insights into his life as well as the connections drawn both textually and visually between his life and his characters.

Great book. Will do a blog post about it soon. So excited about it. Read it in one sitting!

This biography was detailed enough to learn something new, but simple enough to not feel overwhelmed. Because of the ease of this book, if you are very busy, you can pick it up and put it down as much as you'd like without losing track of what is going on. It was also accompanied by illustrations of Shultz's cartoons, as any biography about him should.
