I have issues on how the hate which was supposed to be so aggressive can easily be washed away with one 5 minute explanation. I'd like to think a little flattery would not make forget a betrayal that includes my life's work forgiven.

Sadie's story is fine. The meet cute is just that, very cute. I think her personality didn't vibe with me, but I still enjoyed the novella. Hazelwood does a good job of pacing in these short stories and is still able to effectively built up tension, suspense, and a satisfying resolution. It's a fun and quick read that is pretty dang good!

I enjoyed this more than the first story in this series of novellas. The structure alternates between flashbacks and present time and had some of the same things that I enjoyed in the first story (good banter, real depictions of what women in STEM are subjected to, hot spicy scenes). I felt like I connected more with Sadie than I did with Mara.
This played with the miscommunication trope which I hate but it also had the forced proximity trope as well as the lovers to enemies to lovers trope which I love.
Overall, super short and easy to 'read' and I was able to check my 'escape box' but I will undoubtedly forget the character's names and maybe some of what happens.

This was cute! The narrator for audiobook was good and I liked the story. It felt a bit unrealistic because it happens over a really short period of time but the characters have great chemistry! A lot of big emotions from Sadie that at times bordered on a bit annoying, but I really enjoyed it! I love how the author’s female characters are independent women who stand up for themselves and have STEM jobs, and I equally love how she represents her male characters to be considerate and not intimated by their partners successes, I think it sets great role models!
