I was intrigued by this murder mystery because the author is from IU, and the main character is a former international pop star turned residence hall assistant director (that's funny!). However, as with most contemporary fiction, I thought it was pretty boring and not compelling. I liked the main character pretty well, and I, too, agree that Size 12 is not fat (although her unhealthy eating habits got on my nerves), but even the dead body at the bottom of the elevator shaft wasn't enough to keep me going.

However, I actually do think a lot of people I know would like this book...so if it sounds interesting to you, you should definitely read it!

Even for a fun "beach-read" at times the main character Heather Wells was too ditzy to enjoy. I enjoyed it enough to finish but doubt I will pick up the rest of the series unless I just really need something THIS light.

This was a Pick-It-For-Me book, I also used for another challenge and I doubt I've had read it otherwise. It had moments of humorous and the mystery was not too bad, however I can't say that I really liked this book. I found it too simple at times.

There were moments when I want to ask the writer WTF, is your heroine an idiot??? I'd also place it squarely in the New Adult age group, which I haven't read before.

I give this book 3 Stars.

Easy, fun read - typical Meg Cabot style.

Not as much "Mystery" more chick-lit meets crime solving.
Fun, light, guilty pleasure read.

I liked this entire book from beginning to end. Meg Cabot introduces a relative topic in young adults and the younger generations about size and beauty. "It should not matter what is on the outside, but what is on the inside" is a fantastic message that I had gotten from this book. I am currently a college student and this book had taken place in a college dormatory. It introduced something that I have never heard of which brought a new aspect into the setting. I liked the language and hidden messages between the characters, mix of genre, and just relevant storytelling. This is a great book and super good read since it is a mixture of drama, mystery, and chic.

Ive never been a big mystery fan but this book was great! Heather is a great female character and it's not all sleuthing. She's funny and the things that happen to her are so weird you're like how did I not see this coming? And the twist near the end was just wow! I never would have thought of that! I can't wait to read how Heathers first year in college goes!

Cute chick lit Mystery

Quick, light, amusing read from the creator of The Princess Diaries.
