Book #15 read in 2008

Tremendously dated references and the obsession with not being considered fat is a bit cringe inducing. I did some math and I'm actually Heather's age, which would mean she's middle aged now. Hope she's finally grown up. Enjoyable though!

I think it's quite a good book + heather is a really relatable characters as opposed to other books I've read. Hope Meg Cabot writes a 4th book in the heather wells series.

Meg Cabot certainly knows how to please. This is glorious chick lit in it's finest, with a charming mystery mixed in! The characters are adorable, the heartthrob is worth the drool and the plot twist tricked me! If you're looking for a quick read that will make you smile from ear to ear, I recommend this book.

Heather Wells use to be pretty famous, then a bunch of stuff happened to her, and she gained some weight. Now while size 12 is not fat, many people seem to think it is, and while Heather doesn't she has to deal with this issue. But, when someone dies at her job, she starts to suspect that it wasn't an accident, especially when another one dies a week later.

Things get more and more complicated when her ex-fiance comes into the picture, and the man she is currently in love with seems to want nothing to do with her. But, Heather is determined to find out who the killer is and to prove there is one no matter what. However, she may end up being in danger next.

This book was pretty good. I thought the plot line was very interesting, and it had kind of a wacky type of humor to it as well. Also, I enjoyed Heather. She was a great character and I think it would be awesome to read more in this series.

When I picked up this book I decided that it would be the perfect light-hearted girly mystery, the perfect "chick-lit" book. I was reading a much darker book at the same time and thought this would be the perfect pick me up.

I am happy to say that I had really enjoyed it for the most part. I was totally on board for the former pop star trying to find life after stardom in becoming the assistant director of a residence hall. One thing I could not get over was how winey Heather had become over her love life situation. I get it, her ex-boyfriend cheated on her in her own bed, but I don't have to keep being reminded about it. I felt as though that aspect had gotten extremely tiresome.

However, I did find Heather to be a totally relatable character. She has flaws, lets curiosity get the best of her, and acts completely human. I also liked that this book had a little bit of action towards the end it made it much more enjoyable

In typical Meg Cabot form, the first book in a new series introduces us to an imperfect heroine who, by the end of the book with realize her true potential and strive to make herself happy with herself/her faults and then attractive to the guy she never thought possible.

I like Heather Wells and I'm not afraid to say it. Her experience as a pre-Britney, pre-Miley tween queen has brought her to New York University, working part time as a dorm, I mean residence hall, assistant.

The whole dorm, I mean residence hall, thing got to me, but being a former hall council president, I totally get what she was saying. Now the mystery itself was very easy to figure out, but I liked the setting and the characters. You read Cabot to escape for a bit, and she definitely has with "Size Twelve is not fat." I'm going to look at the other books in the Heather Wells series. I have a feeling I already know what's going to happen, but I applaud Cabot for writing a new adult mystery that seamlessly combines chick lit aspects. And the "E! True Hollywood" references were great, too.

I read this book to fulfil the goal "read a book with a number in the title" At first i didn't like it. it wasn't what i had expected. based on the cove, i thought it was going to be a self help, body image book. i was really looking forward to some meatier non fiction. it is however a fiction book, a mystery at that. (slightly disappointed would be an understatement) She repeated the same phrase dorm..er rather residence hall a few to many times for my liking. it also had one swear word. but toward the end it picked up, and i was kindof disappointed to see it end. (pleasantly surprised) i would read more of her books (368 pgs)

Tasty little tidbit of a book. I had forgotten it was also a murder mystery, so that was an exciting surprise. As the title would suggest, there is an awful lot of body size detailing and writing about appearances. It is done pretty smartly, so I didn't mind it and really liked some of it. Pretty fun book and very easy read.

This was bad. So. Bad. It takes a lot for me not to finish a book.
