Uncomfortable but clear-eyed look at power, ownership, and sex, through the eyes of a newly self-aware sex bot. Interrogates what it means to want to own someone just as much as what it means to be owned.

Such an interesting concept - almost like Ex Machina, but with so many prolific themes that I don't know how to look further discuss/dive into them

Honestly nothing robot related will have the emotional impact on me that 2001’s A.I. Artificial Intelligence did. I just thought this was a bit trite. We’ve been sitting with this sentient robot genre for decades and the book thinks it’s doing more than it actually is. Could’ve been weirder!
