Payne needs a place to live after his husband cheats on him and Beau has a spare room, he just has to do his best to make sure Payne doesn’t learn of the crush he has on him. Payne needs to figure out his life and while he’s working to do that he has the support of his friend from high school, Art, and the Divorced Men’s Club…

Reasons I Recommend:

1) All of the Easter eggs you catch in a reread with books that come later like Ezra and Tripp and Franklin U

2) Love how Beau colours in Payne’s tattoos, the fort building and umbrella sword fights, and the DMC’s unsolicited advice and

3) Does anyone else want to read the story of Jaciel and Tombra as badly as I do?

I really enjoyed this book!! I loved Payne and Beau and thought the plot was great. I LOVED how the tension or problem in the story didn’t revolve around coming out. Just a plain ole romance. I really wanted to give this five stars but there are just a few things I didn’t love. 1) I don’t feel like Payne’s character really developed a ton… he was much more surface level than Beau. 2) The ending felt a bit sloppy and rushed. The summer camp thing came absolutely out of nowhere and then boom it was a done deal.

Overall really loved this though and would highly recommend!
