Didn’t buy the story. Unrealistic even for romance. Very contrived.

Cute little read on a road trip, quite the page turner. The problems the characters met didn't seem unnecessary and I loved how some societal issues were discussed in a way that didn't feel forced.

It's the second book I read by this author and I love how she doesn't dance around bisexuality with stupid metaphors and just say the word!

This is just a truly beautiful romance. There's little in the way of angst, it's gentle and perfect for a read when you just want to see love happening between two people who weren't expecting it.

It's not ordinary though, Riley's storytelling is too good for it to ever be that. There's a secret love element, there's an absolutely fabulous secret kink element that I'm not going to spoil but which is incredibly sexy and quite a turn on.

There's an accepting family and a best friend who gives the best advice and there's two men who are wonderful together when, on the face of it, they have nothing which should draw them together.

It's not quite a frenemies to lovers romance but there is an element of that as Lucky and Saint get off on the wrong foot at the start. But both men slowly reach out and the friendship turns into something deep and lasting.

I loved pretty much everything about this book. There's a couple of awesome Easter Egg appearances from some of Riley's other book couples and I loved that. I might have squealed just a bit when I realised who was in the diner and who the group of LA friends were :)

This is a book to be enjoyed as it really is just a gorgeous example of two people falling in love.

Riley Hart is one of my 'go-to' for same-sex genre. (See my undying love of her novel, Crossroads). Once again, Riley delivers a story that at 52%, I asked it to never end. Saint and Lucky captured my heart and I was invested in their HEA from the start.

If you love a enemies to lovers, this is definitely one to read. Although they both dance around each other, unsure why they should be 'disliking' each other, their relationship flows and develops organically. Ms. Hart taps into self discovery and finding one's true self rather than what is thought they should be.

I wouldn't say it ends on cliffhanger. But as a reader, I hope we get more!

I find Riley Hart’s stories to always been engaging. I’ve enjoyed a fair few over the years and try to pick up her work as soon as it’s out.

Tyler (aka Lucky) and Saint are complete opposites. Tyler is devoted to his family and the simple pleasures, whereas Saint is a city guy who loves to work and be surrounded by busyness.

Even though Tyler is the one to reach out to Saint, Tyler has an instant issue with him once they meet and the exchange is one of my favourite parts of the book.

Tyler with his righteous indignation and Saint’s instant dislike of the judgement. It is the only time I enjoy these type of miscommunications. There’s nothing worse than having an instant lust-hate relationship with someone over false assumptions, but it’s the best for me to read about. You know that all that UST is going to burn up the page once they let fly.

This was pretty slow burn, but it was definitely worth the wait. When they finally connected it was scorching, and their chemistry stayed hot throughout. Riley Hart definitely knows how to write a passionate sex scene. I know I’m going to enjoy it every time.

This story focused a lot on family bonds, and Saint’s grandmother attempting to connect with a grandson she never knew. It was a little heartbreaking but warming as well. Strong family is important and unfortunately for Saint he hasn’t had that in a while. There were some hard revelations, but it helped us know Saint’s grandmother Alice, and I was really pleased that this focused just as much on his growing relationship with her as it did with his relationship with Tyler.

There is a secret Tyler hides from Saint for a fair amount of the book, and it is pretty sexy when it is finally revealed. Make what you will of that. I won’t tell.

Recommended to readers who enjoy contemporary romance. If you’ve read Riley Hart before and liked it, I know you’ll like this too.
