2018 update: I wrote a terribly-worded review when I finished this book for my Victorian Literature class. It was a roundabout review basically saying that there are very distinct and interesting characters that drive this book, which keep you interested in what they're doing and where the story is going.

So much better (and more full of queer subtext) than I expected! Love it.
BJ Harrison does a great job narrating the audiobook, which is 20 hours long!
I picked this book because it is mentioned (and spoiled) in Connie Willis's To Say Nothing of the Dog. I enjoyed it a great deal. I think I even like it better than the Sherlock Holmes books.
It is important to note that the story is told in parts by at least 6 different narrators. The first one is a sexist, racist, classist, & nationalist, which could be off-putting to readers (I found it so). However, each narrator has his/her own voice & personality, with corresponding biases and personality flaws.
Overall, it is well written, and enjoyable, and I highly recommend it to fans of Arthur Conan Doyle!

harika bir kitaptı ama Betteredge'ın insanları Robinson Crusoe tarikatına katma çabaları tüylerimi diken diken etti
