I love Tan and I love Queer Eye. He's funny and you can HEAR him without actually listening to the audio.
I would love to see him write another book because there's been even more progression in his career. It was just a fun autobiography.

This book is a really easy, fun and lighthearted read, even though it was written by a ghost writer it felt like Tan had actually wrote it himself as I heard his voice whilst reading. It offers lots of great advice and important behind the scenes insight! I also loved the honesty in this book relating to Tan’s life experiences!

Would definitely recommend especially for any Queer Eye fans!!!

I wanted to like this book so much :( I love all the boys on Queer Eye, and after reading JVN’s book a few years ago and crying for half of it, I had some high expectations for the rest of their books. I adore Tan on the show, but this book didn’t feel that it represented him properly. It almost came off as pretentious and hateful at times. He preaches the importance of self-love and his history of struggling with that, but then proceeds to say some pretty grating comments on people’s appearances and how those characteristics 100% guarantee that “you are this, this, and this”… and it’s never good. I got about halfway through this audiobook and found myself disinterested in finishing it. It was like crawling to the end of a bed of nails. I think I’ll stick to watching the Tan on the show.

3.5 stars, Fun to listen to while cleaning the house but not as strong as other memoirs I've read.

The narration felt authentic, but that means you get the gems and the rough edges together. Would recommend for fans, but not necessarily for general reading.
