Had to update my rating… This is an enjoyable book to read, but the more I think on it the more I see that the base is quite literally just the plot to Throne of Glass, and the sequel is basically A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Good read if you want to read something you’ve read before, I suppose.

Story is good and i will continue - but, it always drives me nuts how the strong, logical, methodical female leads throw that all out the window and become emotional messes so the men can save the day and be the logical ones. It happens so often lately in books I'm reading and i don't understand why.

Don’t listen to book tok i was trying to get just an essence of the same feeling i got from TOG but the main characters are excruciatingly dumb and felt like the book was laid out for a 12 year old to read
