Very good! Fair warning though it has some very dark themes/sequences so please check triggers.
I love the world and the magic, and even though the characters were being dumb sometimes I loved them too. We can't all be intelligent and seeing all the pieces coming together (and let's be real sometimes we're here for the overdramatics).
Interested to see where this goes next and will definitely be reading the next one.

Most of the twists in this book were very predictable, and some of the writing was reminiscent of how the dialogue is on “Gilmore Girls”.
The plot was entertaining and the characters were interesting. This book had good world building and I’m excited for the next book. I hope in future Scarlet really grows as a character, she can be really insufferable at times.

Just finish this and WOW it was soo good. I’m absolutely in love with the main cast of characters and I can’t wait to start book 2!! My only complaint was that a couple lines were overdramatic to the point of being cheesy. Other than that I saw a lot of world building and set ups for book two that I can’t wait to be explored!
