I loved this!
Initially when I started this book. and realised we would get Dean's pov too, I was like "nah, don't like it" But I'll happily eat my own words now!
Spoiler The plot and setting of this book, was so interesting. It was fast-paced and action-packed. It takes place at a college for mafia children. Where they have 3 tournaments to perform throughout the school-year. We get to see Anna and Leo's romance, and how they try to navigate their relationship from best friends to more. (with some foul play in the mix) Dean is not a good guy in this, but I couldn't help feel for him. Looking forward to the next ones. Especially Dean's. Such a good start to the kingmakers series.

This whole series is for quick, easy reads. Nothing I found I fell in love with, but just something to pass the time. It definitely felt like the author had an idea of a book and a bunch of sex scenes that she wrote around.

Maybe 3.4, idk. I enjoyed it, closer to the end it got good. It took me four months to get past 30% of this book. I had troubles getting into it, it just wasn’t interesting at the beginning, and much more detail that didn’t really do anything. And from 30%-90% was enjoyable, kinda all over the place but still good. The ending… there literally wasn’t one, I’m so confused and slightly disappointed.
I feel like everything worked out too perfect… like the inconveniences where only explained quickly and the big events didn’t really have a purpose.
It was kinda all over the place, I enjoyed it for the most part and will probably read the second one sometime. But it was an eh.
