I really enjoyed the first half of this novel. The banter between Jacob and Eve is really well done and I think their relationship develops at an appropriate pace. Their interactions with each other are really sweet and cute. The novel veers on having too many characters, especially with Mont's sisters. If the reader hadn't read the previous titles in the series, it would be difficult to keep all the characters straight.

I did not like the
miscommunication and 3rd act breakup tropes
used at the end of the novel. Unlike the use of these tropes in Get a Life, Chloe Brown, these tropes felt more like they were being used to extend the length of the novel than to explore the characters some more. I found their romantic relationship to be a bit fast for my tastes. They go from strangers to in love in two weeks? Maybe I'm too much of a skeptic, but that feels too fast for me.

This book is just a sweet heartwarming book and as an autistic person reading about two people on the spectrum finding each other made my heart flutter. Close to the Ending there was an unnecessary problem, it was a little rushed. But it ended sweetly.

If you’re interested in reading something fluffy with a bit of angst. Here is your book.

Another great book by Talia Hibbert. I’ve enjoyed this entire series and loved how Eve and Jacob’s story evolved. Eve has hands down been my favourite sunshine character in a very long time. And her brightness was perfectly offset by Jacob’s grumpy demeanour.

Adorable, bright and cozy! Mostly sweet, with a good dash of spicy! Enjoyable banter, delightful fully-former characters, and a really lovely example of deep dislike/irritation to lovers. I really enjoyed the thoughtful depiction of neurodivergent characters. As an ADHD girlie, Eve’s strengths and struggles really rang true, even if her journey is a little different. I love a book that follows an MC who falls in love with so much more than a man. (Even if that man is truly wonderful.)

I adored this book! Eve was honestly kind of insufferably entitled at the start (which I know is the point) and I almost DNFd at one point, but I pushed through because so many people say this is their favourite of the series and I’m so glad I did! I I loved Eve’s growth throughout the series, which included her growing confidence in herself and her abilities. Without giving anything away this was hands down one of my FAVOURITE endings of a romance book ever. It wasn’t cliched, it wasn’t unrealistic, it was just SO PERFECTLY Eve and Jacob 🥹 it’s the reason this book just pips Dani’s at the post for being my fave of the series!

With this series Talia Hibbert has cemented herself as being one of my favourite romance authors. The tenderness that she manages to inject in her stories without making them saccharine or try-hard is second to none!

This one didn’t grab my attention as quickly as the previous two books in the beginning but I really enjoyed this one too! Eve’s growth is so good and her and Jacob are so witty. The spice was hot af! Third act breakup is quickly and believably resolved. More of a fight than a breakup tbh. Overall, very enjoyable.
