Odd Thomas. I don't have anything bad to say about the series. The third book was the worst of the 4 I have read/heard so far, but I don't know if worst is the best description. This however is the 4th book.
Odd finds himself in the quiet upscale town of Magic beach along the beautiful Pacific coast of California. Odd is a cook for an old actor living out his days in this quant city. Odd goes for a walk and runs into a normal but not ugly women on the pier. They have a short conversation as three guys who catch odds attention comes up the pier and off goes odd into the water into a new adventure full of crooked cops, clergy men and Nuclear weapons. This book is filled with great adventure. I would recommend it.

4 Stars for Narration by David Aaron Baker, 3 Stars for Story
Mini-Review:
I liked all of the characters that were introduced in this story but the plot sucked. This is the most awkward Odd story by far. Noticeable changes are happening with Odd and there's a much more forceful presence of Fate/God/etc.
I'm waiting for Odd to break and lose his shit. =P

As the series continues, I like the books less and less. I'm probably done with the series. Seem to be having trouble finding good books to read.
I loved the first two books, Odd is such a wonderful character. This book however, was a departure and not what I expected. I felt like Koontz was trying to use the fears of terrorism to make the book enthralling and current. I was expecting more paranormal excitement instead of sixth sense intuition. You know what it was like!? Like watching a lame early 90's action movie...Steven Segal as Odd Thomas.
The last ten chapters were basically the SNL "Mmm Whatcha Say" skit so there was a lot of "what the FUCK" but ig I gotta read the next one now
This 4th in the #Odd series was a little less up to par with his other three books but I believe this is because #Koontz is saving up for a huge reveal in Odd Apocalypse. You will laugh at the dialogue between Odd and tormentor and be amazed at the descriptive chase and actions scenes. I still love this series and character. #OddApocalypse here I come!

It is by my two star rating that you can tell I am a generous and giving soul of the highest order!
*Sparkles with goodness*
Annamaria was introduced in this book, and I suspect her of being a plot gimmick but let's see where this leads...
The rest of the story is so forgettable I have forgotten large chunks of it and only really remember my horror being that the book had so many more pages to go before I could stop reading!
Odd, get away from Dean, run!!!

An enjoyable read, but not as enthralling as the others in this group of Odd Thomas fantastical mysteries. Odd Thomas, this time accompanied by the ingering ghost of Frank Sinatra and Boo, the ghost dog, saves mankind from a plot to blow up four nuclear bombs in four different U.S. cities.
I have enjoyed most of Koontz's books, but all authors have their ups and downs. This one was a mild journey to the downside, in my opinion. Too many loose ends left unraveled, and mysterious people and circumstances left unexplained.

Second read through, still good. Have a better understanding of some of the things Odd has gone through now that I’ve previously read the books.
