Definitely and ODD book; but I was disappointed with this 4th in the series as I felt it went a bit over the top with the supernatural. The other 3 books seemed almost believable in terms of supernatural events, but this one just didn't make any sense and left me with more questions than answers. He is obviously setting it up for a 5th; which I'll still read- if for no reason other than to find out what happens next.
This book was a little far fetched. I’ve enjoyed the Odd series and will continue it, but I’m glad this one is over
Stared low because it seems like a setup book, there isn't much explanation on what is going on and I finished the story almost as confused as when I started, sorta. While I don't have to have every tied up in a beautiful bow and all lose ends cut or tied off, this seemed a little too out of place and nothing (much) was resolved.
Odd Hours starts well: biblical foreboding, quirkly characters and intellegent use of Odd's powers.
around halfway through things start to get a bit problematic for me. Odd riffs about Matt Damon a little too much, turning action scenes into a joke. Odd drops any use of his powers and decides shooting people in the face is a valid plot resolution, and quite frankly the plot ultimately look better in 24 than in an Odd Thomas book.
4 books down, Odd's observations have started to grate, the snappy dialogue touching nerves rather than funny bones - especially in the final scenes.
Not sure what to expect from the upcoming Odd novel, the series seems to be floating on the merits of the original novel. Each furthering novel seems to be pieced together of rough ideas and half-wit dialogue rather than a proper literary piece.

The most interesting thing about this is Odd's development as a character. I do wonder when he'll return to Pico Mundo
Another Dean Koontz success. I adore this series, although this book is less of a masterpiece than the first two.
An entertaining enough read, but for me it didn't stick the landing.
