Not quite the escape read I was looking for since it felt like I was back at work while reading. Only got through the first 10 pages or so. Might choose to pick up later.

I really enjoyed the writing style of this book with its play on popular children's fiction in parts, but the story itself really made me tense. Don't get me wrong, the theme was one to which I can relate but Lucy's actions just kept me on edge and made it hard for me to get through the book. It took me much longer to finish this story than it should have. In the end, I did enjoy it but it's not a favorite or one I will re-read by any means.

I got halfway through this book and couldn't continue. The beginning of this book really intrigued me, but as soon as the the grand adventure started, I couldn't suspend my disbelief and/or the stupidity of Lucy.
