Not a book, but an impressive collection of provoking insights and mental models by an unorthodox thinker, Balaji Srinivasan. Very similar to Naval Ravikant’s Almanack by the same author (i.e. editor), Eric Jorgenson. Balaji places a lot of value on maths and hence reasoning his way through problems and how he views the world.

This book gives lots of reasons to be hopeful at a time when there’s much negativity in the news and around the world. I appreciate Balaji’s brain and visionary ideas and prophesies. He is a brilliant writer and thinker who does much to expand the world in which we live, looking to technology and the future on a macro level.
