I knew this book would make me laugh; however, I didn't expect it to be so impactful. Amy Shumer opens up about every facet of her life and offers insightful commentary on social issues.

I listed to the audiobook for this book because I really enjoy listening to comedians telling their story and this was such a fun book. Really also helped to give a lot more depth as to who she is as a person and what has helped to shape her personality

Calling this one a DNF. After about two hours of listening, I didn't find anything to hold my attention or that made the author sympathetic or particularly likable. I enjoy her show and stand up to varying degrees so I'll stick with that. I feel sort of assholish writing this about stories someone is telling about their life but after listening to her humble brag about giving away specific amounts of money to specific people or types of people, I was turned off.

I've loved Amy for quite a long time, and my respect and admiration for her has sky-rocketed after reading her first book. She is a survivor and an advocate... I had no idea. It was such a gift as a woman to read her stories and feel such solidarity. Funny and warm, touching and sassy. I look forward to even better books from her in the future!

I listened to the audio version. I liked that Amy narrated her own book. I like Amy's humor in telling her stories. She's authentic and transparent. There are a few areas that are serious which they needed to be and brought important awareness for all women. I did skip a chapter or two because I just wasn't feeling it however overall I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others who appreciate Amy's humor.

Equally fun, funny, shocking, sobering and painful, Amy Schumer holds nothing back in this memoir.

Surprisingly relatable and highly likable, she is shameless and strong as she recounts her at times crazy, sometimes normal, unbelievable life. She definitely empowers others by empowering herself, and I found her frank honesty and the life lessons she’s learned touching and oh so real.

The audio edition comes highly and strongly recommended since she narrates it herself! Enjoy!
