5/5 stars - holy crap. this book was amazing! It was totally not what I was expecting when it came to cracking open a more intense fantasy novel. such a good path for kvothe and his character. we get to see so many different stages of his life with plot elements interwoven so easily. the writing and descriptions are beautiful. I found myself highlighting quotes and descriptions that I want to keep with me. I'm so upset I didn't pick this up sooner!!
