Series: Alienn, Arkansas #1
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Journalist Juliana Masters is tasked with finding out the mystery of Alienn, Arkansas. Are there really aliens who live there or is it all just a promotional stunt to bring in tourists. What she doesn’t expect is to fall instantly for the Fearless Leader of the Big Bang Truck Stop, Diesel Grey.

This was a fun alien romance. Alienn reminded me a lot of the Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter, but with it using alien attractions to hide the real aliens (in NF they it's Halloween themed to hide all kinds of paranormals). Diesel and Juliana have an instant attraction and they hit it off pretty quickly, but I still really enjoyed their story. Juliana is a very sweet woman and Diesel was a kind, yet stern, leader. Their relationship was just sweet with just a tiny hint of danger.

I really enjoyed learning about the town of Alienn. Now I just want to learn more about Alpha-Prime and the other types of aliens that frequent the truck stop.

Enjoyable but very predictable at times and I was often found shouting at the book to sadly "get on with it" after I heard the same thing at least three times. I am very glad to have been proved wrong in the end with one of the final twists but occasionally some of the elements felt contrived. Also so much kissing it is unreal. Half the book felt like a repetitive description of what her lips were like. I wish there had been a little more to the story and more information about the truck stop than about her lips. I like the premise and am happy to keep going more to get the back story on a few of the other characters than the writing style which for me is hit and miss.
