I’m glad the book wasn’t as predictable as it seemed. It turned out really good. The only reason for not giving it a full 5 ⭐️ is because I was annoyed with how naive the FMC was.

I have never been so mad at a main character in my life. What a dumbass honestly. 1) She takes a job at a maximum security prison where her murderer ex boyfriend is housed, 2) she accepts said job because she refuses to sell her parents mansion in her hometown, 3) She insists on staying in her hometown even though she lives in constant fear of someone recognizing her, 4) Even though there is mounting evidence e to suggest that her current boyfriend (who was also there on the night her ex-boyfriend murdered three people) was involved indirectly in two other disappearances she decides to push that fear down and let him around her son because he has plays Nintendo with him 5) When her ex-boyfriend gets out of prison she lets him STAY IN HER HOUSE thinking there would be absolutely no problems between them. So when she hears her garage open in the middle of the night and notices her keys have been moved? No biggie, must have been imagining that because he’s an ex-con and doesn’t have a driver’s license. This man killed three of my friends and tried to kill me too but he draws the line at driving without a license. 6) Don’t even get me started on the last few chapters. WTF. That being said, I was still into it. It’s trash, but it’s a great beach read!
