I really loved sitting here reading this book and being introduced to the characters wondering how they will all tie to each other. This story strongly reflects that we are never alone in the world and that someone is always willing to listen and be there for you. I did find it a little bit predictable making my rating not a 5 star.

I adored this book and I think it joins my favorites list. The story was so unique and I constantly found myself wondering what would happen next. I enjoyed the way the book was broken up into different perspectives—one of them being from the POV of Marcellus the octopus. His POV chapters were fascinating and really helped to build up the characters’ worlds. I’m so happy I read this book and I can’t wait to share it with others in my life ❤️

This was my choice for book club with Anne and Lee. Julie read it and gave it 5 stars... Previously why I heard of it; it is widely popular. I enjoyed it although it was a bit predictable. I liked the importance of friendship and family the book explored. And of course the star octopus was an interesting protagonist.
