We were destined to fight until the sky bled and worlds shook. But when he touched me, cradled my face as if I was the most fragile, beautiful being in the world, I melted. I didn't feel like a monster with him and I realized I never had.

biggest disappointment. everything was so badly developed. this is supposed to revolve around the book of azrael but all we got is horrible banter, horrible jokes, horrible conversations, horrible world, horrible main characters, horrible everything.

i don't understand this world at all and i gave up trying. i cared so little that i didn't even try to come up with my own. I just wanted to get this monstrosity over with.

the way they spoke made me illiterate. they talked so robotic, the contractions were placed so badly. every page is them ranting about each other and if it's not that, we get those long ass flashbacks or some stupid explaining about some stupid shit i couldn't care less about. so many unnecessary situations were dragged out

the fmc kept throwing temper tantrums over the most basic stupid minuscule thing. this started happening after she met the mmc. how wonderful, we love that

Holy crazy ride Batman! From the kick off, the audience is thrown into a world that feels a little familiar but completely unique.

We quickly meet Dianna who is unlike most FMC as she is the tool, the executioner of the villain's will. Formally human and cursed with a mortal heart, Dianna must commit truly heinous acts as part of a long held deal that resulted in the rescue of her beloved sister. Dianna hates what she has become for the sake of sister's life but wouldn't have it any other way. Kept away from the ones she loves, Dianna seems almost settled in her hellish life.

In walks Liam...the World Ender. Through unique circumstances, Liam returns to the current realm after years and years of self-imposed exile due to shame and self loathing. Liam is the last God and is therefore responsible for the world and it's people. Dianna is the one species that reigned hell onto Liam and those he loves. Despite being enemies, Dianna and Liam form an unlikely partnership that develops into a friendship founded on empathy, shared trauma, and the desire to heal themselves and the world.

This novel was a wonderful ride filled with tension, spice, betrayal and ultimate loyalty and sacrifice. Don't sleep on this one! Run don't walk to this book!!!

4.5, just cause it was a bit slow in the beginning. However, I'm now invested.

I love this book and these characters so much. The communication between our main characters is so good. The banter is amazing. World building is woven in so well into the story. The ending is shocking and the story is just so great!

Fascinating fantasy with unique worldbuilding. It took me a hot second to puzzle out the world Amber was building, but once the story gets going…the world just builds itself and draws you in

I loved the friendship and growing relationship the author creates between the FMC and MMC. They are two broken souls learning to trust. Watching them engage in their dance of emotions and connections is the hook of this story.

The plot centers around to a race to find an ancient text and save a world from destruction. It does a good job of processing while letting the character progression drive the story. I can’t wait to see how this plot grows and develops in the next book.

Look it's really well written, but damn the main character like doesn't grow the entire book. Poor Liam out there trying to teach her to control herself and she's like lol nah. This book is basically a big action movie. Constantly people double crossing them. Poor lads can't catch a break
