Wowsers, this was a great read. I think the pacing for me was a little iffy - it was quite slow at times and very fast paced at others. I finished the last 100 pages over an hour cause of how enchanted I was by the story, but it did take me over a month to get through the middle of the book. I love the characters and it makes me want to know more about Van Helsing and how he obtained his knowledge of vampires. A solid book!

This book is about how a supernatural creature, unknown to the rest of the world, affects the lives of different characters. This was a pretty good read overall. The writing and the style of Bram Stoker are great, but sometimes i found it kind of boring, maybe because it was written more than 100 years ago. The story is amazing, even more when you realise this book started to involve vampires into pop culture, and that every movie, novel or series i know about vampires, are what they are because of this book.
The characters are really defined on their positions: the good people are good, and the bad are bad. That didn´t bother me though. The author does an amazing job by telling the story in letters, keeping the suspense through the whole book.
It´s 3.5 stars for me, because in times the reading was really slow, and i just wanted it to pick up, and that only happened sporadically, and in the last 30 pages.

This was a fun read but I feel like the story would have been more impactful having not known that Dracula was a vampire before reading.

I found myself zoning out a bit. I love old novels but I found that this one meandered too much and had too many climaxes and the shortchanged the actual ending. Overall, pretty disappointed but glad at least that I can say I read it.
