It is rare that a second book in a series surpasses the magic of the first, but in Fever Dream Annabel easily accomplishes this. Rubio and Petra are the perfect foils for each other, self absorbed, confident in themselves, and both a little fucked up on the inside.

The story (especially chapter 16) pulls the reader in and keeps them tied into their skittering path towards how it is they are mean to end up. I couldn't put it down, bravo Annabel, cannot wait for your next story.

Ruby, Ruby, the great Rubio. You are one of my favorite characters around. I don't think there's anything at all that that man could not talk you, me, whoever, into...

I loved revisiting Liam and Ashleigh and the Christmas Eve scene, which was dirty filthy hot and also surprisingly sweet.

"What's wrong?" She shot him an arch look. "Afraid I'll outshine you if I join the company?"

"Outshine me?" Fernando snorted. "Maybe in makeup you outshine me. You have a tragically big forehead."

I love that guy.
