This book... when I first started it, I thought it was going to be good, I never thought it would be as good as it was. Once I started the book, I didn't want to put it down.

The author does an amazing job at making each person look as guilty as whoever the actual murderer is. Each person has their own reason for why they would have killed Simon. Throughout the book I kept changing who I suspected might be the killer, yet I was never on the dot. Currently this is one of my favorite authors. I love her ability to make you second guess everything you thought you knew.

The author does a really good job at making all the characters relatable and loveable. Out of the main four Nate has to be my favorite. The way his family life is reminds me of my own. The relationship that blossoms between him and the other three shows a lot of character growth from him.

This book had me lying in bed screaming "WHAT!" so many times. Exited for the second one!

I gave this book 5 stars when I read it, it was one of the first books I had ever read. I really think it is a good book but I don’t think it is as good as my other 5 star books. Therefore, I will be bumping it down to a 4.5 stars.

CAWPILE: 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Really enjoyed this story. Fast paced. Would of like to see hardcore secrets. But kept me guessing and didn't want to stop reading. Gav e me Pretty Little Liars vibes. Loved the romance part.

This book was just…fun! The plot is a great framing device for both mystery and character growth. I definitely rolled my eyes a bit with the Breakfast Club reference at the beginning, but I was surprised to find that this book played off of the idea of teenage stereotypes in a way that felt new and interesting.
I think the highlights of this book are 1) the roundness of every single character and 2) the agency the teenage characters had. YA books can often contain flat characters, and their protagonists can feel like teenagers that things are happening to, rather than teenagers doing things. This book gave depth and dimension to every one of its characters, as well as giving them a chance to make their own choices and stand their ground. I’m very impressed!
