Although it was to me incredibly sad, I enjoyed this book. It is a collection of stories of ordinary people who endure life and experiences that are often tragic. To me, perhaps the biggest tragedy is separation - death, moving away, drifting apart - a part of life yet so heartbreaking.

Very slow and very boring. There were some interesting parts, but on the whole it just sort of drones on about nothing.

the writing is excellent, but each short story is so depressing. it's a good book, but not a likeable one.

Keeper on my shelf. Reread the last chapter, it's the best.

Whaaaat was this? A very well written story about Olive told from a bunch of perspectives. I am left feeling weird. I want to read the next one cause I hear it’s better.
