A 1984 experience but make it female.
I loved it, it really made me wonder how would it be if taken your humanity away... The way it has been taken away from woman all over the world and time. Sad and true, but because of that, important to acknowledge.
It also made me realize, how fortunate I'm of living as a woman in the place and time I'm living. With it's bad things, yes, but still in a life that, somehow, I can make worth living. This book really leaves you with a lot of questions. Wondering, speculating about the future of the protagonist... About the future of the world and it's history. Are we condemned to repeat ourselves? How are we supposed to know if it's not through fiction?
