Poppy Lively is the heroine of the book.   She is a very likable character and you really root for her to come out on top.  Her accountant has taken of with her business's money and Poppy is in trouble with the IRS.  She is trying to keep this from her daughter, who is preparing to go to nursing school.  She runs into an old flame who gives her a job as a custome designer on a movie.  Many strange and  funny things happen along the way but Poppy is always optimistic and helpful to a fault.  This was a fun beach read.
