✨ audiobook

Poppy Lively discovers she’s in deep trouble with the IRS because she trusted the wrong woman with her money. That woman is nowhere to be found, and now Poppy will lose the house and won’t be able to help her daughter get through nursing school. While her daughter Robyn takes a job as a nanny before she heads to college, Poppy’s old boyfriend offers her a job with the wardrobe team on a Hollywood movie. Poppy has no idea what she’s doing, but she’s a fast learner, even if she isn’t a young ingenue that most of the reviled “must hires” are. What she finds are staff members she can’t trust, and a mystery of missing jewelry and a high-stakes button. She has to figure out who isn’t corrupt to save her home and support her daughter.

It's always fun for me to read about the behind-the-scenes stuff that happens with movies.

legitimately funny book

This was a great story and really funny, well written, book. I don’t know that I can recall many other books that actually made me laugh truly out loud. Highly recommend!

Didn’t hate it but also didn’t love it. The first half was a bit promising but then I felt the second half just sped up by 300% and a lot of things could’ve been detailed more and plot lines expanded upon. Started off as a comedy and turned into a mystery and actually didn’t have true romance (which was a little disappointing considering the summary made it seem like a romantic comedy).
