I really loved being in the mind of Stanhill after getting to know about him in book one and seeing him pop up throughout the other books. You really got to feel for him in this. My only complaint is the what brings about the happy ending is brushed aside very quickly.

I love all of Kristen Painter's characters, and this was a cute short story with neat cameos for lots of Nocturne Falls residents. In this book, Corette Williams, mother of the three Williams witch sisters, finally gets her happy ending with Bartholomew. I liked that there's always some sort of a twist or surprise in each of her books, even the shorts, and how they work their way out of this one is no exception. Highly recommended!

Magic Mishaps with Miracle Mends…

What a wonderful story. I have truly liked Corette and Stanhill in the earlier books. It was sweet to get to know each a little better and to see them at the ball.

Corette’s three grown daughters create a spell for a customer and Corette inadvertently spills some on herself, per the spell she will forget her love and cease to even see him.

Stanhill and Corette’s love isn’t first or young. Their love is that of the mature, mutual respect and the joy that is felt with togetherness. Stanhill has such great patience even when his love may be taken from him. Corette can feel their love and sees how wonderful he is. Enough said the ending is happy.

My rating is 5 stars. I loved the short story. In fact Spell of the Ball has a lot of great short stories in it. I may review those individually, but for now, you can purchase The Witch's Halloween Hero individually on Amazon. I truly love this series and highly recommend it.

Lovely short story. And finally a couple who didn't fall in love in 2 days. Just kinda short, although I get that that's the point. Loved it :)

Corette has forgotten her love of the last 4 years, the Rook Stanhill from a spell gone astray. While her children try to find a cure Stanhill tries to woo her. Will true loves kiss prevail? This was cute and sad at the same time. It ends well but Stanhill suffers through it, whereas he was hoping for a very different day. Cute again.

"Before I forget you forever, kiss me. Maybe the universe will smile down one me and I'll be able to remember that much of you."

Nor the spell of forgetfulness can destroy the true love. I really like this romantic story.
