This is basically the grownup version of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - except they share a store on the beach, not a pair of jeans. There's romance, big life choices, and lots of women supporting women (which I can totally get behind).
Our main cast consists of three women in their 20s/30s. There's Bree, a beautiful and athletic widow who has closed herself off to the idea of love (or has she?). Then there's Mikki, a divorcee who is struggling to find out what she wants from the next stage of her life. Lastly, we have Ashley, who thought she had the man of her dreams – until she realized their dreams might not actually align.
I really enjoyed many of the themes presented here and how they were presented. From divorce and death to heartbreak and moving on, there's a lot to unpack. I never found myself bored, and I felt truly invested in the characters and their struggles.
My one complaint: this story is told in three different POVs, and I felt the switches between characters were a little disjointed. Other than that, this is a great summer read and one I'd recommend to many.

Cute, feel good book!
Women’s fiction book about 3 women who share a storefront along the beach in LA. Each of the women is at a different emotional & relationship level.

DNF at 20%. Idk. Maybe it’s me, but I was bored to tears and just couldn’t get into it or really keep up with what was going on. Too many characters and not enough character development to base off of who is who. I picked up the audiobook because I loved the cover & title so much and wanted a beachy vibe read… but it just wasn’t for me
