Q: Would you give a stranger a chance?
-
He has one rule on flights. No working in the air. And he's determined to make the ice queen abide by it. Annie is a workaholic. Her entire life revolves around being a successful lawyer, which means she has no time for anything or anyone else. And that includes engaging with handsome strangers that try to distract her from working. Damien knows the second he sits beside her that he's going to ignore the unspoken flight etiquette that says not to initiate small talk. He can’t help but to coax Annie out of her cold shell, one playful comment at a time. Can Damien convince Annie to take a chance on him, even if it's just for tonight? Or will she rebuild her walls and shut him out?

This was a great novella to start the year. Reverse grumpy / sunshine = had me smiling
throughout. The writing was smootn and easy
to follow. I can’t wait to read more from Nikki Castle. However, I do wish there was more story for Annie and Damien. Like I want to know what happens after the end. Considering it was only 120 pages, I still became really engrossed in the characters and their lives. I just really enjoyed it. I would say that it’s really spicy compared to other novellas so be warned if you decide to pick it up. Overall I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars.

A to-the-point spicy romance novella, the steam is the highlight of The Stranger in Seat 8B, everything else is a little too tropey and intensely on-the-nose for my preference:the grumpy/sunshine personalities are stereotypical, dialog can be trite, and the depiction of the hero really tows the fine line between being an endearing, dominating love interest, and creeping into misogyny and stalker-y. Overall, it delivered on what I expected, and then some (having dual perspectives in a novella was a nice surprise), and Nikki Castle's writing is effortlessly readable—I might check out one of her novels in the future.

This was a steamy novella with well developed characters. It surpassed my expectations with a great meeting leading to a one night stand and how the relationship developed between the characters. One of my favorites this year.

Nothing like what I was expecting but I should have paid more attention to the blurb as it’s exactly as described. If you’re looking for a quick smutty novella with a hint of plot and no real character development then I’d recommend.
