Pretty cute story, with some occasional very cringe dialogue, mostly towards the beginning. I loved the concept of a Dad finding out his child isn't biologically his, and tracking down the biological father so that they can share the role in Maddie's life.

But for the record, it is possible for two people with O blood type to have a kid with A blood type, just very rare. In this book it is said to be impossible several times, to the point that Bradley is 100% certain he can't be the father because the blood types don't match, and he's not even corrected by the hospital staff. I feel like this would have deserved a basic google search or something (yes, elementary school biology classes are referenced, but those understandably simplify a lot of things and don't go into the exceptions and mutations)

All The Feels!

I felt like I was mentally "awwing" at every turn. This story is so sweet and filled with so much heart I couldn't put it down. I could "see" the love grow between these two, from the initial meeting to a strong friendship to more, it was just plain beautiful! and of course, Maddie is adorable and will completely steal your heart!!!

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I’ve been a fan of Susan/Susi Hawke for years now. I enjoyed this sweet basically insta-love story, sometimes you just need a no-angst insta-love utter happiness book. It made me smile. I thought Bradley and Shane were great together. Wow, Maddie was totally adorable. Yes, not a lot happens during this book, it’s very slow burn but it makes sense that they didn’t rush into anything considering they had Maddie to consider so they’d have to weigh everything as they’d have a lot of lose if things went south between them. Brad has been raising his 5 year old daughter Maddie since she was 2 years old and his wife Trina died in a car accident. After a routine bl*od test that Brad’s daughter Maddie got after she had her appendix out told Brad that she couldn’t be biologically his since him and Trina both have O type bl*od so it’s impossible that they could have a daughter with A type bl*od. Most father’s would be completely upset but Brad was nothing but relieved as his dad passed away from Huntington’s Disease so it means that Maddie has no chance of getting it, unlike Brad who hasn’t been tested for it.

Brad knows that he’s Maddie’s dad and nothing can change that but he decides to try and check with Trina’s sister if she has any idea who Maddie’s biological father is, as he’d like to know that Maddie has someone in her life if something ever happened to Brad. Trina’s sister tells him that it’s possibly Shane her college ex-boyfriend so Brad finds him on facebook and decides to message him about the whole situation and the possibility that Maddie is his biological daughter. It’s completely out of Brad’s comfort zone but he knows that he’d want to know if it was him. Him and Shane hit it off during their facebook chats as Shane reiterates that Brad is Maddie’s dad and that he’d be happy being her cool uncle Shane. Brad invites Shane to California to stay with them and get to know Maddie. They instantly form an amazing friendship as well as a family unit. I’m looking forward to reading more books from Susan/Susi in the future. I’d recommend this book and author to everyone.

It is entirely possible for two parents who are type O to have a child who is type A. Mutations happen! And bodies need calories when they're sick, regardless of if it's a cold or a fever. Basically, don't trust anything medical in here.

2.5 stars. This was okay, although I have no idea why it's called Dancing with Daddy. The daughter does take dance lessons, and one of the guys takes her to them, but it's only referenced off-hand, it's not like a scene takes place at the dance lesson, and they certainly never dance together. I normally don't pay much attention to book titles, but it's just weird that the title is actively misleading. The writing was okay — not terrible, but it never really clicked with me, and I think it could've done with more editing. I liked that the dead wife was never vilified, although the timeline of when she was with each of the guys was a little difficult to wrap my head around. The actual romance was… fine, I guess? Honestly I finished this 7 months ago and I have very few memories of the plot, although I'm pretty sure if you had asked me a week after I finished it, I wouldn't be able to tell you much more. Not bad or offensive or anything like that, but just kind of meh.

Eine super süße Geschichte, aber eher eine Freundschaftsgeschichte mit Romance Ende. Zu wenig sexuelle Spannung zwischen den Beiden.

The decision the MC makes at the beginning of the book is so out of character that I spent the entire time reading wondering why he made that (stupid, reckless and dangerous) decision.
