I actually enjoyed this one. I found it to be at times a funny, and different. While this was not one of the worst things the children had faced, it still made for an interesting plot. I look forward to seeing what else is in store for them.

ok this was good and it had some mystery apart from Olaf's identity. I hope the next ones get better and better.

Edit: My rating for all of his books will be changing to 1 (since there's no 0) since I recently learnt he was problematic and he has sexual misconduct allegations against him (google it or here's a link talking about Sexual Misconduct in Children's Book Publishing

Really feel like I've had enough and I am most probably gonna abandon this series. I still like thew writing and everything but I've read 6 very similar books of a series and I'm still not even half done with it.

This one was my favourite so far. I can't actually put my finger on why but thats life! Their guardians and latest home seemed more fully realised than in previous installments. This book had a slightly different structure to the others and the plot twists were better hidden. I found myself wishing they could stay there even though it wasn't perfect. But the atmosphere was surprisingly comfy.

I apologise for the truly terrible review. Sometimes you instinctively love a book and you have no idea what about it appeals to you. This is one of those times.
