I am continually amazed that people don't realize all the things that are going on in North Korea, especially when so many first hand accounts have come out. It seems as if almost every country just kind of turns a blind eye to this problem.

Anything I can think to write about this book, just seems pithy when contemplating the horrors inside.

I am in awe of Kang Chol-Hwan and all he went through, and not only that he made it out alive, but made it out with his humanity intact. I am glad that he got to tell his story, and I only hope that the right people, who can really help pressure for change, read it and take notice.
